Show Me The Way, May 2023 Adventure,
Ponferrada to Santiago de Compostella
We do hope you will join us; we promise you a truly special experience, our guides are waiting, and our support staff and their vehicle will never be far away. While taking in the spectacular sites of northern Spain, we will also give you a little history and culture, making this ‘Show Me The Way’ adventure a unique experience.
Show Me The Way is a registered charity, it’s perfect for those looking to make friends and share this special experience with a like-minded group, with people who may have suffered anxiety or stress in their lives, we believe ‘The Way’ is the perfect place to unwind a little, to connect with nature, make friends and discover that the world is still a beautiful place.
From the moment you arrive in Ponferrada, our multilingual team i.e.: -
[English, Spanish, Dutch, German] will be there for you, leading you on an exhilarating journey along the spectacular 1,000-year-old pilgrims trail, as you walk through medieval villages and towns, past castles and fortresses, meander through river valleys and wooded trails.
Many millions have walked the Camino de Santiago, some for spiritual or religious reasons, some to gain inspiration, others to simply experience the unique natural landscape.
Walking along the Camino de Santiago with a group is perfect for those curious to experience this famous pilgrimage route and have the comfort of knowing that our expert walking guides will be with you all the way to share their insights and highlights of the Camino. There is nothing like the sense of accomplishment you feel after the end of a day on the Camino, so lace up those walking boots and join us on this adventure.
It won’t be easy; you’ll need to have to have a certain level of fitness. A walking day is typically 5-7 hours covering an average walking distance between 16-22KM.
Accommodation is mixed, in hotels, albergues and tents. There is a saying - that unless you stay in an albergue, you haven't really experienced the way of Saint James. There will be a few nights of luxury in a hotel, but accommodation on the Camino can sometimes be difficult to get and for that purpose we have an individual tent for every person, as there will be nights where we will need to camp on official campsites.
Tell us where you prefer to lay your head at night, and we will do our very best to make you happy.
We promise to take you out of your comfort zone, but we think you will like it, it's all part of the fun and while it would be nice to stay in four-star hotels each evening, that’s not what ‘The Way is all about.’
The cost of the trip is 1,100€.
If you wish to be considered as part of the group, please fill in the application form.
